Ellen Litwiller
After graduating from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she returned to the Bay Area and works in the Natural History Museum Exhibit industry as a muralist, illustrator, model maker and preparator. Ellen continues to work freelance for the museum industry, is an illustrator as well as showing her paintings throughout the Bay Area. Her interest in combining art with a scientific narrative and having extensive experience with show installations comes through in the solo and museum shows she carefully puts together.
Her work is in several museum collections, she has won awards for he fine art and is active in the arts community she lives in. Working closely with scientist has shown Ellen that the passion and commitment of artist and scientist are closely linked, both worlds are based on a curiosity for observing and appreciating the world we live on and the universe we live in.
